Born in 1973, Gareth Hector found an early passion for painting and military history while growing up in Scotland.
 
Gareth would then go on to a successful career in the world of computer animation. Digitally painting and art directing he has worked on high-profile projects such as Call of Duty, Warhammer, Doctor Who, and Halo.
 
In 2010, after a 15-year hiatus, Gareth returned to his love of traditional painting and military history. Since then, Gareth has seen a wide range of commissions for private collectors, book publishers, airshow promotions, and galleries.
​
His work also resides in many private collections, museums, and Squadron Mess Rooms, including those of VMF-323, VMA-311, and 825 Squadrons.
